# How To Make It:

01 - Select a large wooden board and position it near the edge of a table, ensuring space for ingredients to cascade over the side.
02 - Layer sliced and cubed cheeses near the board’s edge, allowing several pieces to extend beyond the boundary for a cascading effect.
03 - Fold prosciutto and salami gently over and beside the cheeses, draping some slices to spill toward the table.
04 - Nestle clusters of grapes, halved strawberries, blueberries, and sliced pear along the board, letting some fruit fall naturally over the edge.
05 - Tuck dried apricots and figs throughout the arrangement and scatter almonds and walnuts over the board and table below.
06 - Place toasted baguette slices and assorted crackers vertically and horizontally, stacking some pieces to enhance the falling appearance.
07 - Set small bowls of honey, fig jam, and olives on the board, allowing a few drips and scattered olives to trail off the edge.
08 - Finish by sprinkling rosemary and thyme over the display for added fragrance and visual appeal.
09 - Present the board to guests with instructions to enjoy elements both on the board and those cascading onto the table.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It looks dramatically impressive but takes just 30 minutes to pull together, making you seem far more organized than you actually are.
  • Your guests will spend more time admiring it than eating it, which gives you breathing room to finish other dishes or simply enjoy the moment.
02 -
  • Slice your pear and, if using strawberries that aren't absolutely fresh, right before serving—browning or weeping will ruin your aesthetic within 30 minutes.
  • The board's edge is everything; if your table is wobbly or the board shifts easily, tape it down with painter's tape on the underside so nothing slides unexpectedly during the party.
03 -
  • Room-temperature cheese displays better than cold cheese, so pull everything from the fridge 15 minutes before final assembly so flavors shine and items hold together more forgivingly.
  • A marble board stays cooler than wood and photographs with slightly more elegance, but wood feels warmer and more inviting—choose based on your venue and the mood you're creating.
